Hello all, I'm Tammy.
I am a stay-at-home mom to 4 kids
Skylar (15)
Andrew (14)
Aaron (8)
Lessley (6)
I have been married to Doug for 15 years :)
We moved to Alaska back in 1996 when Doug was medically retired from the Navy. We both spent a few years in the Navy, 2 for me and 6 for Doug.
We moved up here with everything we owned in the back of a Uhaul. We landed in Delta Junction with $150 and 2 kids. We managed to start over and make a go of things. After 8 years in Delta we moved to Fairbanks following work of course. After 3 years there, my Husbands job took us to the Bay Area of California. We managed to last 10 months there before the stress of work and "city" living did us in. We moved back to Alaska in the summer of 2008 and wound up in Anchorage. Soon after finding a new job, we bought a house on the East Side, planted our 4 home-schooled kids in public schools and decided to stop moving for a few years.
So, here we are.
Pregnancy wise I have experienced quite a bit and think that my own personal experiences only enhance all I have to offer as a Doula. I first decided to become a doula about 1 year ago during my last pregnancy. So far, I am really enjoying it. I am working with ChildBirth International to get my certification for Doula, Post Partum Doula and ChildBirth Educator.
I attended my first birth just 3 weeks ago and it was awesome!
My own pregnancy and birth history is quite long and interesting but we are limited to only 2000 characters.......so my stories will have to be in the posts below.
