I'm Amy (that's me on the right, my daughter on the left), -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I became a doula because I want to help mothers and their partners create a birth that will empower them, and bond their new family in love and trust. As a doula, I can provide emotional support, ideas for comfort measures during labor, and information to help you make informed decisions and stay in control of your birth experience. Birth can and should be a time when you and your partner feel safe, confident, and heard with respect to your needs and desires during this important life experience. I would like to help you create a birth that you look back on with joy and fulfillment. This is my goal as a doula. I joined this website because I believe in supporting doulas, birth, babies, and families! The best words to describe me are calm, and steady. My partner and I live in Anchorage with our three children. I am currently a yoga teacher, and a substitute teacher at my son's school.
